What do I love about bridal make up?
Incredible mornings meeting women in the sacred club, the bridal prep room. I love that it’s enhancement make up rather than transformative, simple! It’s incredibly personal to someones individual style, personality, brief and vision. To the point it’s more important to figure out what a person dislikes rather than likes. So it’s hugely important to me that you feel comfortable enough to tell me exactly how you want to create this vision on the day.
For me, it’s mainly about working with skin, which means making it as honest and believable it can be so you truly glow and look red carpet ready. Skin is the ultimate teacher of how you work as a make up artist as it’s a forever changing canvas, which makes it so exciting to work with! Different texture, tones and finishes when working on all demographics of women. I adore multi level skincare prep on skin! It’s just my thing and always has been. Skin needs time to get the best from it, and you need to be aware to what it needs on the run up to the day so we work with a routine to get it there. I’ve had a facial every day for a month skin! I’ve had brides who have worn no foundation on the day and those who have opted for more full looks. There are no “must do’s!”
Every Bride will receive full cleanse to 6 step skin prep using brands such as Eve Lom, Claudie, Bioderma, Laura Mercier, Eau Thermale Avene and La Roche Posey products before makeup application. Held kit brands are a mix of the most loved products as I believe that is the only way to work. All bridal clients will be guided and well equipped with information and the hints you need to prep your skin ready for your day, with my go to skin hand out. Throughout my entire career as a bridal make up artist I have always been laser focused on building good skin habits on the lead up to the day as we want to accentuate the skin and not hide it behind a mask of cosmetics. Velvet butter like believable skin on the day!
